Goverment mulls maintaining emergency aid after pandemic

The emergency aid paid by the federal government to informal workers may be maintained even after the
pandemic ends, the special secretary of Productivity, Employment, and Competitiveness of the Ministry of the
Economy, Carlos Da Costa, told Valor. “Perhaps some programs have come to stay.”
The decision depends on the Ministry of Citizenship, according to him. Also, other factors need to be taken into
